DECAIMIENTO DE LA TURBULENCIA GENERADA POR UNA GRILLA M\u00d3VIL AL INTERIOR DE UN TANQUE DE AGUA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Este estudio presenta la validaci\u00f3n experimental de una instalaci\u00f3n dise\u00f1ada para generar turbulencia mediante el desplazamiento lineal de una grilla cuadrada a lo largo de un tanque de agua rectangular de 8.0 [m] de largo, 1.0 [m] de ancho y 1.0 [m] de profundidad. Utilizando velocimetr\u00eda por im\u00e1genes de part\u00edculas (PIV) bidimensional y promediando conjuntos de experimentos donde se consideraron tres velocidades de grilla, 250, 350 y 450 [mm\/s], se analiz\u00f3 el decaimiento de la turbulencia generada con n\u00fameros de Reynolds de grilla Re \u2248 14800, 22600, 28000, espaciamiento de grilla de 60 [mm] y espesor de barra de 10 [mm]. La validaci\u00f3n incluy\u00f3 el an\u00e1lisis de homogeneidad e isotrop\u00eda, as\u00ed como de la velocidad media, la energ\u00eda cin\u00e9tica turbulenta y la disipaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda turbulenta. Los resultados confirmaron la homogeneidad en el plano axial-vertical y la isotrop\u00eda en un amplio intervalo de tiempo; asimismo, las series temporales de energ\u00eda cin\u00e9tica turbulenta y de disipaci\u00f3n mostraron comportamientos coherentes con lo esperado y reportado en la literatura. Por lo tanto, la instalaci\u00f3n posibilita la investigaci\u00f3n del decaimiento de la turbulencia bajo distintas condiciones de velocidad, y se piensa su uso futuro para el estudio del decaimiento en fluidos m\u00e1s complejos.<\/p>\n
