En Chile, las Cartas de Inundaci\u00f3n por Tsunami (CITSU) elaboradas por el Servicio Hidrogr\u00e1fico y Oceanogr\u00e1fico de la Armada (SHOA) constituyen herramientas fundamentales para definir los niveles m\u00e1ximos esperados de inundaci\u00f3n en las principales zonas urbanas costeras. Tienen aplicaci\u00f3n directa en la planificaci\u00f3n territorial y en la Gesti\u00f3n para la Reducci\u00f3n del Riesgo de Desastres, liderada por SENAPRED. Las CITSU representan la inundaci\u00f3n m\u00e1xima estimada para un evento conocido o probable, a partir de informaci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica y cient\u00edfica disponible en cada comuna. En el presente trabajo se realiza un an\u00e1lisis comparativo entre estas cartas y los resultados de modelos probabil\u00edsticos de inundaci\u00f3n por tsunami para distintos periodos de retorno promedio, en base a tres tipos de an\u00e1lisis: (i) comparaci\u00f3n de la superficie total inundada, (ii) evaluaci\u00f3n del run-up en distintos segmentos costeros, y (iii) an\u00e1lisis de la profundidad de inundaci\u00f3n mediante una divisi\u00f3n espacial del territorio.<\/p>\n
