Las cuencas de alta monta\u00f1a son fundamentales para la gesti\u00f3n h\u00eddrica en Chile, pero su complejidad clim\u00e1tica y comportamiento altamente variable suponen desaf\u00edos para los modelos hidrol\u00f3gicos tradicionales. Frente a ello, los modelos de Machine Learning (ML) permiten capturar relaciones no lineales y descifrar patrones de la cuenca sin definir ecuaciones. Este estudio eval\u00faa el desempe\u00f1o de tres modelos de ML, Random Forest, LSTM y CNN, frente al modelo hidrol\u00f3gico USM, en la predicci\u00f3n de caudales aplicados a cuenca de alta monta\u00f1a. Se utilizaron variables meteorol\u00f3gicas y radiaci\u00f3n extraterrestre, organizadas en ventanas rezagadas y agregadas para representar la memoria hidrol\u00f3gica. El modelo LSTM alcanz\u00f3 el mejor desempe\u00f1o global con un KGE de 0.80, seguido por CNN el cual obtuvo un valor 0.72 y RF con un valor de 0.72, superando en todos los casos al modelo hidrol\u00f3gico USM. A nivel interanual, se identificaron diferencias en la capacidad de los modelos para representar eventos extremos, siendo el LSTM el que mostr\u00f3 mayor consistencia. Estos resultados destacan el potencial de los modelos de ML como herramientas predictivas robustas para escenarios hidrol\u00f3gicos complejos, aportando evidencia para futuras aplicaciones en la planificaci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n h\u00eddrica.<\/p>\n
